Y's Women's Centre

The Y’s Women’s Centre opened December 6, 2013 and began active programming in January 2014. The Centre provides a safe environment and programming for women and their children, girls and teens.

The Centre is a place for women and their children and girls to meet in a supportive environment, to improve their understanding of community resources, enhance their capacity to make healthier choices, motivate themselves and each other to lead, increase awareness of issues in the community that impact them and their families.

The Thompson Crisis Centre is partnering to offer counselling and support on domestic violence and healthy relationships.

Call for Partners

The YWCA Thompson is seeking institutions in northern Manitoba who want to partner with us to develop these and other services and programs.

Call for Support Materials

The Y’s Women’s Centre is open for donations.

Items needed include donations of pads and tampons, shampoo and conditioner, and educational resource material such as books, CDs and DVDs.

Donations can also be dropped off at the front desk between 9:00am and 9:00pm.
